Last month, I was invited back to The Counter Pavilion for Mother’s Day lunch and I confirmed to myself that this premium burger restaurant serves the best (and probably biggest) burgers in town. Even without French Fries, the burger itself was more than enough. You can either build your own burger by ticking boxes on a list OR by ordering straight from the menu.

My dining companion ordered a turkey burger (image above) from the build your own burger option and that ensures that you get exactly what you like in your customized burger from the relish to the type of cheese. It’s a great option especially for fussy eaters who dislike certain ingredients in readymade burgers.

This time, I ordered Hollywood Hula Hoop Smoothie RM16 which is mango + banana + coconut + fat free vanilla yogurt. I fell in love with this Smoothie the moment I took the first sip thanks to the generous amount of coconut in it. So refreshing and unforgettable was the taste. This is the kind of smoothie I want to have regularly, it’s perfect for our tropical weather. I imagined myself sipping this slowly by a pool bar.

bacon

Bacon² BBQ Burger comes in 2 sizes RM42/52 and there’s a good reason why it’s called Bacon². You won’t believe the amount of bacon in this burger. It’s hormone + antibiotic free beef, cheddar cheese, ripened red tomato, beef bacon², crispy onion strings, hickory BBQ sauce and brioche style bun. You can choose how well cooked you want the beef to be. In my case, I didn’t want to see any redness in the meat at all, just a hint of pink. This burger is in the smaller size and even then, it’s big for me. I don’t consider myself having a small appetite but I think it was quite big for lunch. The bacon in this burger is incredible as you get  a slightly crunchy texture and the meat just goes so well with the sauce. As for the crispy onion strings, they were the best as they are thinly sliced and the batter just coats the onions without being thick or oily. This is The Counter’s priciest burger and well worth the price as I’ve not tasted anything that comes close to this anywhere else.
