An Eyecare Product Of Some Interest

Lancome Rénergie Yeux Multiple Lift is an interesting product because it’s not just eye cream you’re getting in one jar. On top of the tub of eye cream sits a creamy powder. The clincher? Apparently, it’s 2 formulas for 6 visibly rejuvenating effects:-

  • lifted eyelids
  • fine lines and crow’s feet wrinkles reduced
  • dark circles appear reduced
  • firmer eye contour
  • eye bags look deflated
  • illuminated eyes

This isn’t a product to be used day and night. It’s for application only in the mornings probably because ideally the powder should be applied over the eye cream for max efficacy but I guess applying the eye cream only in the evenings can do no harm.

I should clarify that I don’t have the full-sized product. I have a 3ml sample which is supposed to be a 5 day trial but it does stretch to over a week with once a day use. After all, how much eye cream does one need? It isn’t the most lightweight eye cream but them again, neither does it have a heavy texture. The cream absorbs readily into my skin.

It’s to be used on dark circles and bags to the upper eyelid and above the eyebrow. Final application is over crow’s feet wrinkles towards the temples as per the diagram shown on the sample box below.

The 2nd step is to apply a very light veil of the powder which is creamy to the inner corner of the eye, dark circles and under-eye bags and under the outer arch of the eyebrow. After the powder has been applied, my skin feels incredibly smooth and the under-eye area does look brighter and more luminous. Of course, this isn’t a replacement for concealer but it’ll do if you don’t have serious dark circle problems. It even looks as if fine lines have been optically erased, for a while anyway.

Not bad….I am sure some of you who have used the product will also feel the same way. However, it isn’t enough to send me running off to the nearest counter to get the full-size product as I haven’t felt enthusiastic about any Lancome product, be it skincare or make-up in the longest time and I certainly won’t be buying locally at retail unless certain things change.

For those who are interested, the product retails at RM235.
