Sizing Up Samples : Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Gel & Strawberry Yogurt Pack

It’s been a while since I reviewed the counterparts to these 2 – Multiberry Yogurt Peeling Gel & Multiberry Yogurt Pack. The Strawberry versions basically have the same functions as the Multiberry ones in that they exfoliate and soften/moisturise skin respectively.

I think that the appeal of both Multiberry and Strawberry versions lies in the scents of the products. They do smell yummy, like breakfast. Having fruity scented masks helps me relax more. When it comes to fruit scents in skincare, nobody can beat the Koreans. I wonder if Laneige Korea will allow an intrepid blogger to tour their manufacturing plant one of these years for an inside scoop *hint* *hint* jebal (yes, I am begging!)?

Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Pack

Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Gel contains strawberry extracts. There’s exfoliating enzyme contained within the tiny red capsules. When these red capsules are pressed against skin during the facial massage, they burst and turn into something that resembles peeling skin. When I used this product for the first time, I thought it was dead skin cells but then how could there have been so much dead skin? It isn’t as if I’ve never exfoliated in my entire life.

The recommended massage time is 1 minute. This is a less harsh way of exfoliating as the tiny red granules do not feel gritty against skin. After it has been thoroughly washed off, my skin did feel smoother although not much brighter.

Strawberry Yogurt Pack

I preferred the Strawberry Yogurt Pack to the Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Gel as the scent in the former was slightly stronger. Well, it appears that way to me anyway. The larger capsule in the mask contains mineral water (with tomato, kiwi, grape, banana and lemon extracts and essential minerals including calcium, magnesium and zinc. Sounds like a fruit cocktail mask and highly nutritious.

The recommended time for application is 5-10 minutes so I leave it on for minimum 10 minutes, no harm having it on for 15 minutes. Smells so good I want to leave it on for longer if I am not in a hurry to go anywhere. I like this mask quite a bit as it gives my skin moisture and softens it.
