It’s that time of the year again – Estee Lauder Companies Malaysia Staff Sale 2017 is back and I was at Berjaya Times Square Hotel with my friend by 6am. There were 20 people ahead of us in the VIP queue, thank goodness for VIP tickets otherwise the wait is even longer. Doors opened for us at 7am and it’s such a privilege to be able to shop without having to push through the crowds, even if it is only for an hour but I thought crowd control this time was very good. Even when the doors opened for the rest just before 8am, I didn’t feel that it was excessively crowded and barely noticed the increase in customers.
Of course being a cosmetics addict, I headed for MAC first to see what they had to offer and there were a lot of products from the Trolls and Nutcracker Sweet Collection, brush kits and value sets at rock-bottom prices. When else can you get a Look In A Box set at just RM77? Their lipsticks already cost RM78 at retail. This time, lipsticks were not pre-packed, we could choose any 3 shades of lipsticks from the swatches available at RM75. That was popular.
There were some terrific value skincare, makeup and fragrance sets over at Estee Lauder.
Over at Bobbi Brown, there were a number of nice palettes and even skincare sets. I couldn’t believe even makeup brushes were on sale.
There are some festive looking sets at Origins, most probably from last Christmas.
As for Clinique, these are some of the things available.
Altogether, a much better sale than the one in January in terms of choices.
3 MAC lipsticks at RM75 was my modest haul. I spent just over an hour at the sale. I am quite amazed at the speed at which some customers shop because some of them had already gone to the cashier within half an hour of being let in.
