After making Melt & Pour Soaps, participants at the Creativiti craft workshop for media were guided on how to make Handmade Lotion which was relatively easy because all we had to do was combine the prepared ingredients in a beaker. Handmade Lotion is basically emulsified oil.

These are the ingredients:

45ml of Distilled Water

+ 2ml of Craftiviti Lotion Maker

+ 5ml of Craftiviti Refined Coconut Oil (unscented)

+ 5 drops of Yein & Young Essential Oils OR Craftiviti Fragrance Oils

+ 2 drops Tea Tree Extract Preservative

Stir all ingredients to mix. Pour in jar.

I added Lavender Essential Oil which has a fantastic scent, so relaxing. I think that this is a simple method which even beginners like me will have no problems with. The preservative used here is a natural preservative. If no preservative is used, store in fridge and use it up within 3 days. One can make a fresh batch of lotion every few days. So much better than using lotion which could already be months old when purchased.
