Ever since I got hooked on Nip/Tuck (in large part due to the hunky, egoistic and narcissistic Christian Troy played so well by Julian McMahon, I have been rather fascinated with the world of plastic surgery. Not that I have the guts to go down that road but it’s so fascinating to see the “before” and “after” images of patients who have undergone surgery.
If I ever gathered enough willpower, not to mention enough for the surgical fees, to have a bit of nip/tuck done, my first choice would have to be Beverly Wilshire Medical Centre which celebrated its 1st year anniversary today with an exclusive series of talks by the doctors.
Due to having signed up for a morning beauty workshop elsewhere, I only managed to catch one of the talks but it was seriously good because Dr. M. Nasir, Consultant Plastic Surgeon had such a fantastic way of presenting and he had a wicked sense of humour (I’d love to chat with him!) as he explained the various surgical procedures available ranging from face lift, rhinoplasty, ear pinning, breast augmentation, lift, reduction and reconstruction.
They also offer body contouring and lifting, vaginal tightening, labioplasty, hymen reconstruction and penile lengthening! No, we didn’t see any “before” and “after” images of the genitalia surgeries but the good doctor mentioned that he could show them in private if requested :)! He shared that excess fat from liposuction can be used elsewhere on our bodies as fats are the best source/storage of stem cells.
