Kanebo Lunasol 2013 Spring Makeup Collection

Kanebo Lunasol’s 2013 Spring Makeup Collection is all about fresh, vibrant, vivid, bright colours especially for nails. The makeup this season is inspired by the butterfly and who doesn’t love butterflies? They are majestic, colourful and elegant creatures, a sight to behold indeed. The most striking shades in the collection are the nail color range.

Let’s start with the eyeshadow palettes of which there are 5. The Kanebo Lunasol Vivid Clear Eye Palettes (RM185) contain 4 shades or 5 if you count the 2 shades on the top right hand corner of the palette. The 2 shades on that corner are the signature feature of Lunasol eyeshadow palettes and that is the Main Color. The Main Color are Vivid and Sheer, use them individually or mixed together.

Blue Green Collection for a cool, sophisticated look

The model in the 1st image above is wearing colors from 01 Blue Green Collection. It also happens to be the palette I would go for because of the 2 blue shades and it’s quite different from the rest of the palettes.

Khaki Beige Collection for mature, intelligent-looking eyes

Pink Collection for a soft, feminine look

Orange Collection for a bright, fresh look

Pink Beige Collection for a natural, feminine finish

Most of the shades are quite sheer with shimmer. The darkest shade in each palette can be used as eyeliner. Each palette contains a dual-ended sponge applicator and a dual-ended sponge applicator and brush.

There are 5 shades of Kanebo Lunasol Full Glamour Liquid Lips (RM104) which are limited edition. They contain pearls for added lustre and gloss and is a combination of lipstick and lip gloss finish.

There are 5 new Kanebo Lunasol Full Glamour Lip shades (only managed to take photos of 4 of them as seen below). They look like very soft colors but I can see they are very moisturising. Retails at RM111 each.

The 5th shade is 16 Beige Pink.

There is only 1 shade of Kanebo Lunasol Treatment Gloss (RM80). This is a serum-type lip gloss that adds a hint of color. In addition to the brand’s Water Keeping Complex, the product contains a generous amount of 5 botanical moisturizing ingredients. It can be applied over lipstick, used alone or as a primer.

Pure Pink Treatment Gloss

There are 3 new shades to Kanebo Lunasol Colouring Cheeks N (RM190) with a new formula that allows the cheek color to blend lightly with the skin while achieving a more beautiful coloration and lasting effect. Coloration and luster can be adjusted as desired depending on the balance of the color blend. This blush can be used to contour and shape the face.

Kanebo Lunasol Brow Styling Compact N (RM138) is an eyebrow powder for creating natural, three-dimensional eyebrows. There are 4 shades in this compact with an added nuance color as well as three light and dark shades. The compact allows you to adjust the color as desired by using three shades and create depth by using the nuance color.

Here’s my favourite part of the Kanebo Lunasol 2013 Spring Makeup Collection, the nail polish. Such lovely spring colors! I would love to try the Vivid Blue Green shade which is also the shade seen on the model in the 1st image above. The 5 shades are all limited edition and retail at RM58. Actually on second thoughts, I’d have liked to have taken all of them home (if only!).

Last but not least, there are 2 shades of Kanebo Lunasol High Stylized Mascara SV (RM111). This is a new separating, volumizing mascara that also gives a shape to eyelashes. The rich and thick mascara contains different kinds of wax which add volume while curling lashes. Said to be non-smudging/non-budging, it washes off easily with warm water.

During the presentation of the collection, one of the media ladies got a makeover and she looked gorgeous or should I say even more gorgeous after the makeover.
