The event was officiated by Tuan Haji Azman bin Mashuri, Deputy Director, Planning and School Management Sector 2, Daily School Management Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) and Ms. Lavinia Anthony, Marketing Manager of Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn. Bhd.

“The mural competition themed ‘Minda Sihat, Cergas Fizikal’ is an avenue to encourage students and teachers to showcase their creativity and talents while focusing on promoting a healthy mental and physical lifestyle. This is in line with the aspirations of the Ministry of Education as outlined in the Malaysia Education Development Plan 2013-2025 to nurture a holistic generation in terms of intellect, spirituality, emotions, and physical well-being. The MOE expresses its utmost appreciation to Gardenia QuickBites, for creating such opportunities for the students to showcase their talents and interests outside the formal classroom environment,” said Mr. Haji Azman bin Mashuri.

Lavinia said, “The goal of this program is to empower future leaders to cultivate a healthy lifestyle that encompasses holistic mental and physical well-being. Through this program, QuickBites hopes to raise awareness among school students on the importance of maintaining mental health in their daily lives. The main component of this program is a mural competition among more than 120 schools that can serve as a channel for stress release, as many students today are under immense pressure to achieve academic excellence. This effort has crowned QuickBites as the record holder in The Malaysia Book Of Records for the ‘Most Wall Murals In A Branding Campaign’.”

“We from QuickBites are grateful and humbled that we are able to provide an avenue in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia for students to work together in creating creative and beautiful mural walls, which indirectly makes the school’s environment more cheerful. Besides fostering a healthy spirit of competition within the students, we believe that such activities can bring out a sense of happiness and create memorable moments for the students and teachers that would last a lifetime,
in line with QuickBites’ core essence; Free The Happy,” she added.
