Olive Hand Flowing Soap

It’s certainly been some time since my last review on an Olive/Tebe product. During the launch of Fabulous Finds recently, attendees were presented with a full-sized bottle of Olive Hand Flowing Soap. This is a moisturising and conditioning soap to protect your hands from dryness.  The key ingredients include extra virgin olive oil, spring water and chamomile.

Although it doesn’t contain sodium laureth sulfate, one of the most common causes of skin irritation. it contains these:-

Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate – a natural, Ecocert, food grade emulsifier derived from sodium salt of lactic acid. Safe, skin-friendly cleanser for skin and hair that effectively removes, dirt and bacteria, without stripping or drying sensitive skin.  It moisturizes the skin giving it a smooth feeling and enhances delivery of active ingredients.

Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate – A safe, skin-friendly cleanser for both skin and hair that effectively removes surface oil, dirt and bacteria, without stripping or drying sensitive skin, producing a very rich lather. A small molecule ingredient capable of penetrating the skin. It is an effective component in bringing back liveliness and sheen in chemically treated hair.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate – A natural, skin-friendly surfactant (foaming agent) for both skin and hair. Mild, gentle, and non-irritating. Creates a rich lather that effectively removes surface oil, dirt and bacteria, without stripping or drying sensitive skin. Hydrophilic (attracted to water), enabling it to be dissolved more readily in water.

Descriptions above are excerpts from the Skin Care Ingredients page of Simunovich NZ’s official website.

This gel soap lathers up very well and I don’t need a lot to create a nice, rich lather. One pump will do very well to cleanse both hands thoroughly. It leaves hands feeling quite soft and the olive scent lingers for a while on skin.

It’s a good quality product which is relatively inexpensive at RM47 for 250ml.
