When I first saw MAC Prosperity Lipstick from their Lunar New Year Collection, the packaging reminded me of the Chinese steamed Longevity peach-shaped buns. There are also cakes shaped like a Longevity peach especially for those celebrating their 60th, 70th, 80th or 90th birthdays. The soft-touch ombré pink, peach and yellow design of this case is perfect for Lunar New Year. There are five shades of lipstick in this collection and one of them is Prosperity, a bright pinky coral.
It has a matte texture so I find it a bit drying. Has good colour pay-off and the shade is ideal for anyone who dislikes reds or too strong shades for their lips. As it is a matte, expect it to be long-lasting. I think I like the design of the case more than the shade.
MAC Prosperity Lipstick Lunar New Year Collection retails at RM82 (I wouldn’t be surprised if all sold out by now, whether online or at the outlets).
