When it comes to Thailand, I think every Malaysian’s eyes light up as soon as Thailand is mentioned in conversation as it is one of our favourite countries in the region to visit. Who doesn’t love Thailand? Some of us even visit every few weeks or months as the food and shopping is beyond excellent. One could stay for weeks and never run out of places to visit. Yesterday the Tourism Authority Of Thailand held a Health & Beauty Talk @ Renaissance Hotel and one of the speakers was Mr Richard Lim Chew Lee, Marketing Manager Tourism Authority Of Thailand (Malaysia & Brunei).

Mr Richard Lim spoke about the frequency of flights to Thailand from here (50 flights daily) with Chiangrai being the latest destination (Air Asia just launched it). Some of the famous attractions in Chinagrai include the White Temple, Blue Temple, Red Temple and Black House Museum.

Thailand is THE destination in the region for spa, massage, yoga, meditation, detox, beauty and health. 10% of people who visit Thailand go for medical tourism. There is no waiting time there so why not combine your vacation with a bit of nip/tuck. Thailand offers a wide variety of cosmetic procedures for both men and women. Cosmetic surgery, including breast augmentation, implants, reductions and lifts are performed in both Thai hospitals and specialised clinics.
