Berjaya Corporation Berhad (BCB) officially launched its redesigned Borders outlet at The Gardens Mall today aiming to make hanging out at bookstores fun, to entice Malaysians to read more.
Designed internally by Borders’ Gen-Y and Millennial employees, with the help of professional partners, the store is set in a cheerful palette complemented by warm hues of wood furnishings and trims. This new store spans 7,500 square feet and exudes an inviting and comfortable feel designed to make the store a cool place to hang out.
The new Borders features an island coffee bar by Starbucks, gadgets from a brand new Radioshack look, collectible figures from Little Monsters, board games by Imagine Games, greeting cards and gifts by Memory Lane and Hallmark, an extensive children’s section with bean bags and space for small community events.
The store has over 230,000 copies of 28,000 titles on topics that include fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, comics, art, photography, cooking, design, the outdoors, home decor, lifestyle, classic, literature, pop culture, humour, children’s colouring and activity books.
