Coffee Bean Tea Leaf Green Teas

My friend sent me this set of Coffee Bean Tea Leaf Green Teas last week – Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearl and Genmaicha Green – each tin contains 20 tea sachets. I guess you could say these are premium teas since they are sold at a premium price.

Genmaicha Green is just green tea with roasted brown rice, available at most supermarkets but the interesting tea is the Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearl which consists of small balls of tea in each sachet. Each ‘pearl’ is made up of two Chinese green tea leaves and one plump bud.

Of course this isn’t something new I have come across as I used to drink a similar looking tea when I was buying from tea wholesalers in Chinatown but it does look rather pretty in the sachet.

This is such a fragrant, well rounded tea with a delicate, light jasmine taste. I don’t remove the sachet from my cup since I like my teas thick. I can refill my cup at least 3x and the tea still tastes wonderful.
