Guest Review : Baviphat’s Paprikas

Our guest reviewer, Camie is back again, this time with a review of Baviphat’s Paprika Water Up range. Baviphat is a Korean brand well known for its eye-catching packaging.

Here’s Camie’s account of the products:-

Have you always wanted “boing-boing” skin like Korean actresses?

Are you experiencing oily skin because of dehydration? Do you spend more than 10 hours in a dry, air-conditioned environment?

The above is what I am experiencing now.

So here’s some veggie remedy for dehydrated skin.

Baviphat is a Korean brand that can easily be recognised for its fruity and cute looking packaging. It offers an extensive product range from body to skincare plus its own makeup line.

Like any other brand from Korea, celebrity endorsement plays a huge part for the brand. As for Baviphat, they invited Korean boy band, F.T. Island as their endorserand they have collaborated with House of Dereon (by Beyonce) to roll out a series of limited edition Baviphat products.

I have tried and tested 3 products from Baviphat’s Paprika Water Up range.

The products are in cute, little paprikas and are vibrantly coloured. They are an essence (serum), an essence skin (lotion) and emulsion (moisturiser). The downside is the product descriptions/instructions are all in Korean and I don’t understand a word of it.

Then again you can always visit their website to find out more but unfortunately there isn’t any option for another language-again only KOREAN!  They do not have a localized .com.my website yet. Maybe it’s because they are still quite new in the Malaysian market but you can drop them a message in their Facebook page if you have any questions.

The key ingredients in the products I tried are paprika extract (leaves your skin feeling supple), tocopheryl acetate (skin smoothing), lemon extract and also macadamia seed oil (nutrition and shine).

You can guess how the products smell like-paprika (smells like the real veggie) and lemon (zesty scent). In fact, it’s very refreshing.

The serum/essence is very lightweight and absorbs very quickly when applied. It does not leave my skin feeling sticky at all. I can notice the difference after using for a few days. My skin looks smoother, less dull and “boing boing”.

However, I still find it not hydrating enough especially when I work long hours in the office and my skin still turns a little oily towards the end of the day.

But for a product at this price, I definitely agree that it did quite a decent job. Additional points goes towards the packaging and the natural ingredient content as well.

Paprika Water Up Essence RM79.90/35ml

Paprika Water Up Essence Skin RM49.90/130ml

Paprika Water Up Emulsion RM59.90/130ml

Baviphat products are available at Parkson Pavilion, Sg Wang, Sunway Pyramid, Subang Parade and The Shirt Studio 1 Utama New Wing.
