Uriage is one of those drugstore brands I’ve always wanted to find out more about. I don’t know anyone who has used the products and in Malaysia, I believe similar brands like Vichy and Avene have had more prominence. Anyway, this 50ml tube of Hyséac Gentle Cleansing Gel was in this month’s MIVVA beauty box. I was glad to see it in there as I’d finally have a chance to try something from this brand.
The Hyséac range is for combination-oily skins of which my skin doesn’t fall into that category but I’m fine with using products for oily skins since I don’t suffer from skin irritation when I use such products. Hyséac Gentle Cleansing Gel is a little runny and when mixed with water, there’s a slight foam although don’t expect a lot of lather since this is not a foaming cleanser.
The scent is quite mild and pleasant. Although I thought it felt too gentle on my skin for a thorough cleansing, it removed make-up from my face (powder, foundation, blush) without leaving any residue or making my skin feel dry/tight. The product description doesn’t state that it removes make-up, just impurities and excess sebum. It’s a soap-free cleanser.
