There are days when we want to perk up dull skin but don’t want the full coverage of foundations or even BB Creams so the best alternative is to reach for tinted moisturizers which can even skin tone and make skin look less tired and haggard.
Stila’s Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 is touted as an oil-free, water-resistant product that multitasks as a skin-hydrating, skintone-perfecting, SPF-protecting complexion enhancer. It contains micro-fine light diffusing pigments and Hyaluronic Acid.
Looking at the image above, there don’t seem to be any pigments. It looks like a rather fluid foundation. There are 2 shades – shade 01 and 02- but I am not sure if both will be available here. The above is in shade 01 which is a good match for my skin tone.
It is very lightweight and I had no problems applying and blending it out on my skin. It feels moisturising and gives an instant glow and illumination. My face does look a lot brighter after it’s been absorbed into skin. There is absolutely no cakey look and feel. It just looks like healthy, glowy natural skin. However, being a tinted moisturizer, expect just sheer coverage. Ideal for days when you’re just stepping out for some “me time.”
