Last view of Istanbul as we head back from the European side to the Asian side for our flight back to KL
As Turky is such a huge country and with so many attractions that should not be missed, a 5-night stay there is barely enough. I would and couuld have stayed there a fortnight and I am sure there would have been many more places to see and things to do. Alas, it was time to return home to KL which truth be told, I was looking forward to after spending 5 sleepless nights no thanks to my roommate’s continuous snoring.
As evening approached on the last day of this tour, our bus made its way through gridlock traffic from the European side to the Asian side of Istanbul where Sabiha Gökçen International Airport is located. The view of this glorious city is truly stunning. I just have to return some day to explore Istanbul at my own pace.
At the airport gate, we were handed a snack and drink due to the 4 hour delay. We were supposed to have departed Istanbul at 5pm but we only left at 9pm. I’d reserved a seat in the 1st economy section as I didn’t want to be seated at the back. It is well worth the RM250 I paid as it ensured I would be first out of the plane.

Not long after take-off, we were served the 1st meal, Nasi Lemak which tasted okay but as expected, portions is small.

Nasi Tomato Ayam Masak Merah2nd meal a few hours later was Nasi Tomato Ayam Masak Merah. I’ll just say the 1st meal tasted better.
There’s no place like home. Malaysia is the best place to be!
