The model entered the room with just Matchmaster Foundation in 6.0 on her face and no powder. He applied one of MAC’s bestsellers, Prep + Prime Powder which blurs fine lines, hides pores and leaves skin looking matte. He used a 109 brush to set the powder as it works very well around the eyes.
Next he applied a wash of Old Gold Pigment across the eye. He smoothed it over her lids, pressing in. The more he built, the more intense the colour became. Sci-chedelic is about keeping it simple. As James put it, “you don’t have to be a perfect makeup artist to create the perfect look”.
He used Brow Duo : Brunette to create a more manicured brow with an angled brush and a non-powdery look. Use a brush to create a soft, full and natural look especially if your brows are thick. Then he used Prep + Prime Highlighter in Bright Forecast to contour. Not just for highlighting, the Prep + Prime Highlighters are also colour correctors.
Bright Forecast is a peach shade for highlighting the brow bone, nose area and underneath lips. James applied MSF next and finished off with Pro Longear Lip Pencil in What A Blast. He used this super matte neon orange shade lip pencil as a lipstick.
Not many products were used for this look yet it is such a polished and sophisticated look.
