Although I don’t consume alcoholic beverages regularly/frequently, I can never resist a cider especially Somersby cider which is my favourite brand of cider as it tastes great. I’ve tried Somersby Apple, Somersby Blackberry & Somersby Watermelon. During my recent visit for the Carlsberg Brewery Tour, I was excited to see Somersby has a new flavour (not that new as it turned out it was available since 2022), Passion Fruit & Orange.
Couldn’t wait to try it and didn’t have to wait long as guests were invited to try any of the drinks available at the Carlsberg Lounge after the brewery tour. Perfectly ripe & deliciously sweet oranges are combined with tangy passion fruit to provide a refreshing cider drink with an exotic twist. So did it meet expectations? I was in love with it at first sip, so refreshing and quite indescribable. This combination really works – the sweetness of Passion Fruit with the tanginess of Orange. This is the 1st time Somersby has included 2 different fruits in its cider.
For anyone who loves cider and hasn’t discovered this flavour yet, I thoroughly recommend this as it’s like a burst of summer flavours. In all my years of drinking Somersby, this is by far the best flavour for me as it is unforgettable and unique.
