Camie tries out the Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color (PK304) which adds a hint of colour for a healthy, pink flush to the cheeks.
Here’s Camie’s review of the product:-
Honestly, this is really my 1st ever Shiseido product.
Thanks to Juniper’s Journal for this lovely face color.
Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color was introduced last summer. It contains Micromatic Color Pigment (smooth fine pigment), Satin Smooth Pearl (luminous glowing finish), Dual Optimizing Powder (minimize the appearance of fine lines & oil absorbing) & Hydro – Wrap Vitalizing DE (keeps skin hydrated).
It comes in a total of 6 shades, the following 3 of which are the creation by Dick Page, renowned British make-up artist:-
PK107 Medusa (Pale Silvery Violet)
Delicate bluish radiance illuminator with a silvery glow that brightens the eye area and gently highlight the cheek and brow bones area.
OR308 Starfish (Reddish Gold)
Warm orange color with gold pearls that gives your skin a sun-kissed look.
GD809 Shell (Soft Bronze)
Suitable for cheekbones, hairline and chin, this subtle gold pearls bronzer create a luminous healthy glow.
Its sleek glossy, semi-transparent dark purplish finishing definitely shows a sense of elegance in its design. It also comes with a cute brush, soft bristle. Although the brush may be kind of small compared to a normal blusher brush, it works just as well – its bristle fans out just nicely to cover the cheek area. Even with this size, it picks up color very well.
The shade I’ve got here is PK 304 Carnation – a pinkish tone with a hint of shimmer.Like most of the Japanese makeup in the market, the color tends to be a bit sheer. You may want to apply more than just one layer.
Especially for those who have a medium skin tone, it is best if you can apply at least 3 to 4 layers to get the color visible. For those who have a fairer skin tone, you can go with 1 to 2 layers.
The color came out looking very natural. It is gives me a healthy glow yet not too intense and overwhelming.
Even with 4 layers of application, the shimmer does not make me look like a galactic star (overly bright).
If you are out for a whole day, consider carrying it along for touch up. Maybe because my skin tends to get oily after a few hours, the color pretty much faded out.
Overall, I think this is a good buy because it’s suitable for a basic and everyday look.
It’s selling for RM 105 each (6.5g). That can last for more than a year!!
