Guest writer, Camie is back with a review on the benefits of using hydrating masks, in particular Neogence Hydrating Mask. Here’s her review:-

Today’s topic is about hydration. Many of us are very concerned when we hear the word “hydration” or in my case “dehydration”. It’s a very common Asian skin problem. There’re so many creams and gels in the market that offer the “hydration” factor but work only to maintain the hydration level.

A mask is important to our skin just like consuming vitamins. It’s best that we keep to a twice a week mask routine. For a quick fix, you can use a sheet mask like the Neogence Hydrating Mask.

This is a mask that provides deep hydration which enhances the degree of water replenishment. It contains hyaluronic acid (instant hydration and & rapid water replenishing) and algae extract (skin refining).

Unlike other sheet masks, the essence within is more of a gel like form which I find rather interesting. It’s less messy (no essence dripping everywhere)and more jam packed with essence (30ml a piece-that’s like my whole bottle of serum).

The design of the mask is also something which you may not come across so often. It is a full face sheet that covers the eyes as well. Because it’s a hydrating mask, it’s actually gentle enough to place across the eyes as well. However, I found the mask slightly too small for my face (still some space left on the sides and forehead).

Like most masks, I suggest leaving it for 20 minutes tops. Any remaining essence can be applied to the neck, elbows and any other dry areas.

At RM65 for a box of 6 pieces, I think it’s rather reasonable as 30ml of hydration concentrate=a bottle of serum. If you consider applying alternate masks (whitening, deep cleansing, anti-dullness) once a week, a box can last 1.5 months.

It’s available at all SASA outlets nationwide.

Thanks to Camie for the review and photos.
