When it comes to face exfoliators, I like those that double up as a mask. I usually use these in the shower so that I can leave it on during my shower and wash it off just as I am finishing up. Elemental Herbology offers just such a product in the form of Facial Glow Radiance Peel described by Space NK as “a speedy yet gentle peel that reveals ‘like new’ skin in minutes. Infused with a tropical cocktail of vitamins, enzymes and brightening botanicals, it’s a radiance treatment for skin that’s looking dull, dry and flaky or is prematurely ageing.”
Yes, that sort of describes my skin condition except for the prematurely ageing part since my ageing is in no way premature. It contains Alpha Hydroxy Acid so those with sensitive skins should definitely slather on high SPF sunscreen after using this peel. Other ingredients include apple serum, papaya, orange peel, tangerine, jojoba beads, green tea, pomegranate, manuka honey, argan, macadamia and olive oil. The scent is lovely and just the thing for a product which is to be left on skin for 4 minutes.
For best results, this peel should be used as per instructions and not washed off after a few seconds like other exfoliators. The scrub beads are tiny and not in the least harsh to my skin. I massage it on to my skin from forehead to décolleté and after it’s been washed off, it really does feel like new skin – soft, smooth and radiant.
