Wearing A Mineral Veil

For some products, I have to use them again after a a space of several months in order to like them more the first time round. This is usually the case with make-up products rather than skincare. With skincare, if I didn’t like them the first time I used them, it is very unlikely I’d like them more the next time.

By now I think most of you are familiar with Ronasutra 2-in-1 Mineral Foundation & Powder which I reviewed last year. Available in 8 shades, this foundation cum powder provides light to medium coverage. If you don’t like/need heavy foundation, then mineral foundation may just be the kind of product you are looking for.

The advantage of mineral foundation is that you need such a tiny amount. Ronasutra’s 2-in-1 Mineral Foundation & Powder can either be applied with a sponge or a brush, I prefer using a brush as I find using a sponge less effective but it’s just a matter of personal preference.

Much has been said about the benefits of using mineral make-up including that they have antibacterial properties and can treat acne-prone skin as well as provide effective UV cover (this one has SPF35) but for me, this is no substitute for proper sunscreen.

Now that I am using this product again after more than half a year, I seem to like it more than I did the first time I started using it. I can appreciate its light coverage, it takes away the shine on my skin and leaves it looking matte all day. It doesn’t cover all the flaws like dark circles and pigmentation but I’ve never been bothered about such things. These days, I prefer light to medium coverage foundations rather than heavy coverage.

My sample is in 00 Ivory which is the lightest of he 8 shades. I think it suits me quite well. It didn’t oxidize after 8 hours of wear.
