Mascaras with a curved brush such as Maybelline Volum’ Express The Magnum Cat Eyes have an advantage in that they give lashes a curled and lifted effect. I also think they are better for coating lashes than straight brushes. Maybelline Volum’ Express The Magnum Cat Eyes has a collagen film formula with holding and building ingredients for a lifted and arched look.
The brush is designed to follow lash shape and spike out lashes. It has short bristles to help deposit a large amount of mascara on lashes and twisted bristles to capture and fully extend lashes to the corner. It didn’t clump my lashes nor did the mascara smudge despite long hours of wear.
The spiked-out and volumising effect is quite evident in the “after” images above. It has a slight curling and lifting effect but not that visible. Nevertheless, I have to say it is a keeper because it separates each lash and doesn’t leave any unsightly traces of mascara on the under-eye area.
