MASMUQA: Skincare That Treats Your Skin Like Gold

Masmuqa Toner Mist

In a world overflowing with skincare promises, MASMUQA emerges as Malaysia’s new homegrown answer to healthier, barrier-first skin. Founded on a personal journey of healing and transformation, MASMUQA was created to help every Malaysian rediscover confidence in their skin without the fuss, fear, or false claims. Inspired by one of its founder’s own struggles with damaged skin barriers and sensitivity, MASMUQA was born out of a desire to simplify skincare without compromising results. “The name MASMUQA comes from two words – Emas and Muka, meaning ‘gold’ and ‘face’,” explains Nurin Afrina, Co-Founder of Masmuqa. “Your skin deserves to be treated with the same care and respect as something truly precious like gold.”

More than a tagline, these three words form MASMUQA’s guiding philosophy. The brand’s formulations are designed around repairing the skin barrier, protecting it from Malaysia’s tropical humidity, and helping it glow naturally inside and out. MASMUQA’s minimalist range features six essential products; a
cleanser, toner mist, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen, and sheet mask – all formulated with dermatologist-approved, soothing actives such as Centella Asiatica, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramides, and Panthenol.

Their hero duo, the MASMUQA Sheet Mask and Toner Mist, delivers instant hydration and barrier repair within minutes – a testament to how science and simplicity can coexist beautifully. MASMUQA is proudly Malaysian – formulated, manufactured, and designed locally with GMP-certified partners. Every product is crafted to withstand Malaysia’s heat and humidity, featuring lightweight, non-sticky textures that feel rich yet absorb instantly. Local identity is at the heart of the brand, which also incorporates Asian botanicals like Daun Pegaga (Centella Asiatica) and cucumber extract for their naturally soothing benefits. By working closely with Malaysian chemists and suppliers, MASMUQA not only uplifts local talent but also ensures affordability without compromising quality.

Even as a young brand, MASMUQA takes meaningful steps toward sustainability from minimalist, recyclable packaging to cruelty-free formulations and ethical, small-batch manufacturing. Their long-term
goal includes refill systems and biodegradable packaging, setting the tone for a more mindful future in
local skincare.

MASMUQA Launch

Since registering HN BYOODEECARE SDN BHD in February 2024, MASMUQA has achieved remarkable milestones launching its first products, partnering with local manufacturers, expanding to TikTok and Shopee, and building a passionate internal team. “There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing customers regain their confidence after struggling with damaged or sensitive skin,” says Nurin Afrina. “We created MASMUQA for them. For every person who just wants skincare that works.”

Looking forward, MASMUQA plans to launch its complete Skin Barrier Repair Set and full skincare line in 2026, along with pop-up events, retail collaborations, and regional expansion into Singapore, Brunei, and Indonesia. The brand’s vision doesn’t stop there – within five years, MASMUQA aims to open its own MASMUQA Aesthetic Clinic and be recognised as one of Southeast Asia’s trusted leaders in barrier-
repair skincare.

Because to MASMUQA, good skin isn’t about perfection -it’s about protection.
