According to the product description on MAC’s official website, this mascara is waterproof, smudge-resistant, thickens and lengthens. It’s quite a short mascara especially when compared to the Opulash Optimum Black mascara.
The applicator’s bristles don’t look special or unique. If anything, the bristles are quite far apart and as such, it’s all the more necessary to use this mascara in a zig-zag motion in order to coat every lash. I had some problems coating the smaller lashes.
I had to apply the mascara many times before I could get the results shown above and even then, it really doesn’t look like there’s a lot of difference between the “before” and “after” shots. It separates my lashes well, no clumping, gives my lashes a bit of a curl without the aid of an eyelash curler but it doesn’t dramatically lengthen. There is also hardly any volume at all so it didn’t work for me where thickening my lashes was concerned.
More importantly, is it really THAT waterproof and smudge-proof? I used this mascara for walking around in the mall and within a few hours, it had left a shadow of a smudge on my undereye area so I’m afraid it isn’t waterproof on me.
I believe it only comes in one shade, black. It’s 7ml and retails at RM63.
