We’re all looking for that perfect foundation – good coverage, not too heavy, provides flawless finish even without the need for a primer and doesn’t oxidise all day. Once we find it, we are reluctant to try anything else but these days, the quality of foundations keeps improving so it’s quite easy to find our ideal foundation especially among counter brands.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup has been around a long time but I believe it underwent a reformulation last year. It doesn’t come in a tube, this is just a sample. The full size comes in a glass pump bottle which is a bit bulky.
This is one of those not-too-thick/not-too-runny textures, has medium coverage and is easily absorbed into my skin with or without a primer. What I like most about this foundation is that it gives my skin a very natural look (my sample is Sand) without looking as if I have a layer of foundation on. There is no cakeyness and I don’t need much of the foundation for my entire face.
It certainly does stay-in-place as I didn’t have any foundation meltdown no matter how humid it was. I would consider purchasing the full size bottle if I needed foundation which at the moment is one of the last things I need as I still have another 2 unopened bottles.

This foundation is my HG foundation! I love the fact that it keeps my face matte for 8 hours straight!
