A few months ago, Laneige introduced their Mascara Trio. Two of them are for volume – Volume Setting Mascara and Infinite Volume Setting Mascara – while the third is for lengthening, String Longlash Mascara. I was wondering which one to purchsse at the Laneige Boutique, I can never decide whether volume or length is more important to me so the only way to sway my decision one way or the other was to try the String Longlash Mascara & Infinite Volume Setting Mascara on my lashes.
The Infinite Volume Setting Mascara certainly did add volume but didn’t have much of a “WOW” factor whereas the String Longlash Mascara gave me more dramatic looking (while still looking natural) lashes. It also had a bit more of a curling effect than the Infinite Volume Setting Mascara so I went home with the String Longlash Mascara.
The brush is very slim and slender, allowing it to reach the smallest and most non-existent lashes. It doesn’t clump my lashes and I can see that it coats every lash. It’s also good for applying to the smaller lashes on the lower lid.
The effect is rather wispy, spidery lashes that are much more noticeable. There’s no false lash effect here but I like the natural look and best of all, it doesn’t smudge and that’s a very important feature to me with any eye liner/mascara.
