Neesya Skincare

Neesya packaging is rather simple yet not to the point of being too spartan. It’s good to keep it simple so that costs are kept to a minimum and not transferred to the consumer. Neesya prices are reasonable and that is an important factor for many consumers.

Generally, the concept sounds promising. Although I want luminous skin, I also want and need to keep my skin hydrated. Neesya™’s LumiScience°™ Hydrating Serum hydrates and illuminates the complexion so this sounds like the must-have Neesya™ product from the entire range. I do think that they have quite a complete basic and treatment range as they’ve included products such as a sleeping mask and eye make-up remover.

Although the Brightening Day Cream has SPF20, I’d like to see them offer a separate sunscreen with higher SPF. I don’t mind if my day cream comes without SPF since I’d use and advocate using a separate sunscreen anyway. It’s never adequate to use skincare products with sunscreen no matter what brands would have you believe.

I haven’t tried any of the products on my face yet but I did try a few on my hand so I’ll show you what I liked and wouldn’t mind having from Neesya™. I’m all for supporting Malaysian brands which often don’t get looked at as much as foreign brands.

I tested this product by applying my lipstick on the back of my hand and it removed all traces of the lipstick in one swipe without leaving any oily feeling. This is a bi-phase eye & lip make-up so it must be shaken before use. This one can remove waterproof mascara and any other waterproof eye make-up.

This is a gel Brightening Overnight Mask which felt a bit runny. I squeezed out too much so about half of what I squeezed out would have been enough for my entire face. I'[d like to see if this one would indeed boost my skin hydration and luminosity.

For those who do not like the harsh feeling of granulated facial scrubs, the Lumi°™ Brightening Enzymatic Refiner offers gentle exfoliation. I left it on the back of my hand for a few minutes and yes, my hand did look slightly brighter and felt softer than the other hand after it’d been wiped off.

I’m looking forward to seeing the additions to their current range as the new products will cater to my age group. While the current range is more than adequate, I believe it caters more to younger skins than mature skins so it’ll be great to see what the brand has to offer more mature skins.
