RT Pastry Holdings Berhad (雅特面包菓子工坊) (“RT Pastry” or “the Company”), a prominent Malaysian bakery group, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Top Pot Bakery Sdn Bhd, had entered into a Distributorship Service Agreement (“Agreement”) with Palaterium Sdn Bhd, the operator of Malaysia’s specialty coffee chain HWC COFFEE.
The Agreement is for the distribution of RT Pastry’s bakery and pastry products through approved HWC COFFEE outlets within Klang Valley. The collaboration currently covers more than 40 HWC COFFEE outlets with expansion to additional outlets in subsequent phases.
Under the Agreement, RT Pastry will manufacture and supply selected bakery and pastry products to HWC COFFEE, including OEM products specifically developed for distribution under HWC COFFEE’s own branding.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Lu Chun-Neng (吕群能), Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of RT Pastry, said, “We sincerely thank Ms Zenda Ng, CEO of HWC COFFEE Malaysia, and the entire HWC team for their trust in RT Pastry and openness in building this collaboration together. Coffee and pastries complete each other. A good pastry makes coffee better, and a good coffee makes the pastry more enjoyable.”
“For us, this collaboration is not only about business. It is about sharing what we have learned over the years and bringing good products to more people, in more places,” he added.
Based on the parties’ mutual understanding, RT Pastry expects the collaboration to contribute approximately RM3.0 million in sales over the contract period, subject to actual orders, product availability, outlet rollout and other commercial factors. The signing of this Agreement also comes shortly after RT Pastry’s execution of an underwriting agreement with KAF Investment Bank Berhad in relation to its proposed listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad
