RMK Fruit Barrier Cream

RMK is one beauty brand that is more well known for their cosmetics than skincare but I have always been more attracted to their skincare than cosmetics. In the past, I have purchased their Cleansing Oil N (superb and one of the best cleansing oils I’ve used because I love the scent), Creamy Soap N (fantastic texture and smells great too) and one of the Skintuners (I forget which one as they have 4).

There was a time when I’d make constant visits to their counter in Isetan KLCC but I haven’t done so for a long time now and you could say I’ve lost interest but since I have a huge stash of their samples (see image below), I thought it’s high time I reviewed some of the skincare.

Now what’s their Fruit Barrier Cream? It’s a gel cream which contains fruit extracts:-

  • yeast and grapefruit extracts to moisturise and hydrate skin
  • prune extracts to condition the barrier function further and maintain skin hydration
  • orange extract to enhance skin’s self-moisturising ability

The scent is delicious as it is a combination of sweet pear and green scents (whatever that means, presumably herb?). It melts into my skin giving it an instant softening effect. It’s like applying fresh fruit puree on to my skin, something like what a smoothie would smell like perhaps? The ideal moisturiser for dehydrated skins.

RMK Fruit Barrier Cream retails at RM180/26g. Do correct me if I am out-of-date with the price. As I said, I haven’t dropped by any of their counters for longer than I can remember.

This review is based on samples of their products.
