NESTUM Inspires Malaysians To Get Creative With Bake-Off Challenge

Much-loved multigrain cereal brand NESTUM continued to inspire Malaysians’ creativity in baking with its NESTUM Reka Rasa Raya 2023 Campaign. Baking enthusiasts recently had the opportunity to win exciting prizes at the grand finale of the campaign via the NESTUM Bake-Off Challenge.

Held over a period of eight weeks from March 1 to April 30, 2023, in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebrations, the NESTUM Reka Rasa Raya campaign offered prizes totalling RM100,000 for Malaysians nationwide, with 450 weekly winners. The campaign culminated in the Bake-Off Challenge with nine contestants vying for the grand prize of RM15,000. Also, up for grabs was an exclusive one-on-one MasterClass session with Arieni Adriena, entrepreneur and founder of popular local bakery Gula Cakery, who was also present as a mentor and judge for the Bake-Off Challenge, along with celebrity host and well-known personality Alif Satar and Nestlé Corporate Executive Chef, Chef Muluk.

Wong Eu Khean, Business Executive Officer of Dairy & Adult Nutrition, Nestlé (Malaysia) Bhd, said, “The Bake-Off Challenge is part of our efforts to encourage Malaysians to explore the versatility that NESTUM has to offer in cooking and baking, to create easy & delicious dishes. With a wide range of products, NESTUM is packed with multigrain goodness that can be easily added to recipes to elevate taste and nutrition, as a good source of dietary fibre and other essential nutrients such as protein, calcium, iron, vitamin C & D. Apart from the great prizes, we provided the contestants with the opportunity to test their skills and receive advice from experienced mentors during the challenge, we hope this also supports them in their entrepreneurial journey as bakers. Our heartiest congratulations to our grand prize winner and well done to all the participants!”

Demonstrating the versatility of NESTUM’s range of products, the Bake-Off Challenge saw the participants whipping up a variety of treats. The judges then assessed their recipes with a set of criteria, such as creativity and recipe originality, appearance and presentation, and ease of preparation.

Yin Yin Chow’s innovative NESTUM Rose Tart recipe won judges’ hearts, showcasing NESTUM’s versatility

Emerging victorious with her innovative NESTUM Rose Tart recipe was Yin Yin Chow, a 35-year-old teacher from Kuala Lumpur.

Ecstatic to be the grand prize winner, Yin shared, “NESTUM is truly incredibly versatile and can be used in a variety of recipes, not only baking but in cooking other dishes as well. I was very happy to see the dishes made by the participants, as there were many great recipes to learn from them! I look forward to learning new skills from Arieni Adriena at her MasterClass and hope to increase my confidence. Thank you once again to Nestlé Malaysia and NESTUM for this opportunity!”

For their creativity and skills displayed during the Bake-Off Challenge, the eight other contestants were awarded with cash vouchers worth RM3,000 each. Other creations included NESTUM Kurma & Prune Puff, NESTUM Shortbread with Orange Mousse, and NESTUM Cheesecake Baklava, amongst others. Contestants also had the opportunity to witness baking demonstrations for NESTUM Chocolate Bar by Alif Satar and NESTUM Pavlova Mini by Arieni Adriena, where she also shared her baking entrepreneur journey and baking tips.

The NESTUM truck is set to embark on a national tour at the end of June 2023 to showcase the nutritional benefits of NESTUM

The contest effectively showcased how easy it is to incorporate NESTUM’s ‘aromalicious’ products in cooking and baking, from the NESTUM 3-in-1 range available in different flavours, to NESTUM All Family Cereal which is a household staple. Made with nutrient-rich multigrains, NESTUM is an ideal choice for Malaysians to increase fibre, protein and whole grain in their diets just by adding it to recipes and even to their favourite beverages, in line with the NESTUM #Tambahje (Just add NESTUM) approach.

To provide Malaysians with the opportunity to learn more about the nutritional benefits of NESTUM, at the grand finale, NESTUM also unveiled its NESTUM Truck which will be going on a nationwide tour commencing at the end of June 2023.
