Ethan Choong, Chief Executive Officer of Ping Edge Sdn Bhd (Kitchen Arena)
Officiated by YB Datuk Mohamad bin Alamin, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP), Taste & Trade 360 (TT360) 2026 officially opened today at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), featuring the unveiling of Malaysia’s first-ever electric vehicle (EV) food truck. Showcasing 260 exhibition booths, the three-day event connects local and international suppliers with F&B entrepreneurs and operators, offering opportunities to discover new products, source business solutions, and establish trade partnerships across the food and hospitality industry.
The EV food truck, powered by X-Miles and introduced alongside a collaboration with Chery, combines electric mobility with a fully equipped commercial kitchen. Its integrated electrical system can power lighting and selected onboard equipment, reducing reliance on conventional fuel-powered generators. Designed as a ready-to-operate food business concept, it offers entrepreneurs a potentially more cost-efficient and sustainable approach to mobile F&B operations.
Ethan Choong, CEO of Ping Edge Sdn Bhd, said, “The F&B industry cannot afford to stand still. Rising costs, manpower challenges and changing consumer expectations are forcing businesses to rethink how they operate. Technology is no longer just an option for the future; it is becoming essential to staying competitive. Through TT360, we want entrepreneurs and established operators alike to discover practical solutions, explore new opportunities, and connect with the right partners to take their businesses forward.”
