There are pizzas and then there are pizzas made so well and impressively massive such as those made by Mikey’s New York Pizza. When my made-specially-for-review Mikey’s New York Pizza Chizza What? Chizza Who? Pizza arrived at my door step yesterday evening, I was blown away by the sheer size of the box. It is like the Mother of all Pizzas at 18 inches. It’s divided into 8 slices each measuring 9 inches and the entire pizza can feed 4 to 8 people depending on how ravenous said people are. For small eaters, one slice is plenty.
So what exactly is Mikey’s New York Pizza Chizza What? Chizza Who? Pizza? It’s made with nearly a kilo of Fried Chicken in Japanese Panko (similar to bread crumbs). Then wrapped in imported Mozzarella Cheese and Mikey’s homemade marinara sauce. A delight for the senses every which way you look at it.
One slice neatly fits my big plate with just a little room to spare. At first bite, I detected a slight sourish taste which is only one of the many flavours contained in this delectable creation. The Fried Chicken is chunky, moist and tender. There is the fragrance of fresh basil. The ingredients are generous and you can see at first glance that this isn’t your average pizza. This is definitely THE pizza for fans of fried chicken.
