The only one of its kind in Malaysia, Jasons Food Hall in Bangsar Shopping Centre commemorated three scrumptious years with a month-long celebration. A gourmet shopper’s dream come true, Jasons Food Hall is a premium delicatessen and supermarket rolled into one. Three years on, Jasons continues to create journeys of new discovery for food lovers in Malaysia taking its customers’ passion for food to a whole new level.

The celebration was made more merry and memorable with the launch of Australian wine label Wolf Blass President’s Selection Cabernet Sauvignon to Jasons’ stable of offerings. The President’s Selection has won several awards and is dubbed to be the truest expression of the label’s founding president Wolf Blass, who has always been passionate about three principles in winemaking – quality, character and consistency.

The 2012 vintage boasts enticing aromas of blackberries with eucalypt and mint supported by mocha-like oak. Carrying full-bodied flavours, it is soft, rich and elegant with integrated lingering tannins and matches well with red meats.

In conjunction with the launch, shoppers who purchased RM500 worth of Wolf Blass wines were invited to Blend It Like Blass with wine connoisseur and Wolf Blass ambassador Simon Cant, where they had the rare opportunity to create their very own blend of black label wine. Exclusive Wolf Blass appreciation sessions were also held for shoppers who purchased RM300 of any Wolf Blass wines.

The entire month of May was dedicated to Jasons’ discerning and enthusiastic gourmet chefs-at-home with exciting activities that ranged from air-flown fresh ingredients; tasting of rare and delectable cheeses from around the world; a Royal Thai cuisine cooking demo; chocolate making demo and tasting to exclusive wine and liqueur enjoyment sessions that included Polignac VSOP X.O. Royale, Mon’t Gras, Bourgoundy, Cotes du Rhone, Perrier Jouet Champagne, craft beer and cider.

Shoppers were also treated to the exclusive flavours of Italy as chefs from the renowned Marini’s on 57 Restaurant & Bar cooked up a real storm at the food hall. The tantalisation of the taste buds was further accentuated by a Japanese mushroom cooking demo by Chef Jean Michel, along with the launch of the Three Oaks Cider and Lemon ED by Three Oaks Cider Company.

While close to 60 per cent of Jasons Food Hall stocks are imported from around the world, namely Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, Spain and New Zealand, regular daily essentials are also readily available at Jasons.
