Taiwan is the source of countless brands of sheet masks, the other prolific source being Korea. I was about to repurchase Naisture sheet masks (from Korea) at Sasa when the SA introduced me to Beauty Talk’s Idebenone Q10 Mask.

On the SA’s word that the Beauty Talk masks had been featured on the Taiwanese beauty programme “Ladies First”, I purchased 2 to try and it helped that there was a promotional price of RM4.90 for each mask (original price RM14.80).

Presumably these masks are more expensive than your average sheet mask because they supposedly contain “exclusive” Liposome” bio-technology, concentrated anti-oxidants such as Idebenone and Coenzyme Q10. Hyaluronic Acid is the first ingredient on the list of ingredients.

The mask is enveloped within a silver foil sachet and it has pink polka dots on it. I give them an “A” for aesthetic value. It didn’t fit perfectly, could have adhered better at the edges. The product description states that the formulation enhances skin elasticity, smoothing fine lines and inter alia,  leaving skin more luminous.

Its recommended usage time is 20-30 minutes but I stretched it to 50 minutes, partly because I had a cat nap. Anyway, I felt it’s moisturising enough but it didn’t leave my skin feeling more luminous. With one time usage, I’d be lying if I said it enhanced skin elasticity and smoothed fine lines.

The mask is wrapped around a plastic sheet for ease of separation. During my last visit to Sasa, I noticed that there are 2 more variations in the range, one of them being Collagen. The other Beauty Talk masks are also priced at RM14.80.
