  1. Very often I handwash delicate clothes and undergarments and the detergents are very harmful to our hands. It strips off moisture and sometimes causes the skin to peel and dry itchy patches to appear. So, I do use hand moisturiser. As for cuticle cream, I don’t use it because all this while I thought handcream serves the same function. I do not remove nail cuticles myself simply because I do not know the proper way to do it. And I don’t visit nail palour often.

  2. Hand moisturisers are important for our skin especially on our hands. Being the thinnest skin layer which we exposed to all kinds of soaps and detergents, a good natural hydrating hand cream and moisturiser will be good to keep our hand smooth and supple. Home care is also important for me as we can always take care of our hands as part of our beauty regime. Normally I will take care of the cuticles myself, however once a while a trip for a nail spa will be nice.

  3. I don’t know the proper way of removing cuticles so I don’t do it by myself. I have to admit that I don’t really care my hands so I only apply hand cream twice a week. (I know I have to be more hardworking or else I will have wrinkled witchy hands very soon) Well my mum always says that it is very important to take good care of our hands because the skin tends to age faster and easier due to the exposure to detergants, chemicals and water. I saw some hand masks in the market and maybe I will try them out next time! They look really interesting to me hehe~

Thanks for the giveaway Juniper! 😀

  4. For most of us who stay all the while under the air conditioning, we do take very good care of our face and ensure them are hydrated all day long. Yet, very often we neglected our hands. That’s why I have handcream in my workplace and bedroom side table. So when handcream is easily accessible, of course we will apply it whenever we feel like to.

I do not know any proper way to remove the nail cuticle as I’m just doing normal nail cutting routine biweekly. And I’m not a fancy person, I just keep my nail simple and clean. I will only have manicure appointment when there is a need to do so.

  5. I use crabtree and evelyn for my hands and i like doing manicures myself. i do find it a pain to remove cuticles as so far i cannot find a good one which will remove them cleanly and efficiently.

  6. Another awesome giveaway!

The truth is I don’t really care for my hands and cuticles as I do not removed them nor applying hand cream daily. This caused me to sometimes have really dry and peeling palms. By then, I would apply thick hand cream on my hands and wear gloves for the whole night to make sure that my hand is looking okay if not rough to see. I know that I need to start caring but I am umcomfortable with using products when I need to use my hands all the time (cook, washing, writing and typing) so my hands are really neglected even if it the part I use the most

  7. ( Wash ) Every night I’ll wash my hands with rice water. After rinsing the rice for the first time, drain the rice water into a separate container. Drain it more than once so that won’t find any rice grains in the water. Wash gently with the water, by scooping it up and splashing it deliberately and carefully. You will feel that your hands are fresher, tighter and smoother.

( Exfoliate regularly) It is used usually by mechanics or people that deal with washing off heavy grease. It has orange pumice in it and helps calluses and rough spots on your hands.

( Moisturize ) I’m using Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel for my hands. It’s lightweight, spreads on light and easy and leaves no apparent residue or tackiness. It also has a fresh, zesty and pleasing scent that lingers on my skin even after it’s dry and absorbed.

( Manicure ) Every once in a while. You don’t even have to get your nails painted if you don’t want to! You can just ask the person doing your nails to put on a coat of clear polish. Manicures really help your hands and help to nourish your nails.

  8. NOOO! Don’t remove your cuticles ladies. Cuticles don’t just stick on your fingers to look ugly, they serve a purpose! They are part of your skin and serve as a barrier or protection. Cutting them off (especially you’re not sure and just simply hantam cut cut cut) will lead to infections and/or irritation :O Just learn to moisturize them (hence the existance of Burt’s Bees cuticle cream) and trim properly but never cutting them off 🙂 Just a tip! For me, I put a tiny bottle of dry oil in my bag and next to my bed. Two to three drips and it absorbs so nicely into your skin! Good for skin, nails and cuticles. Saves time too!
