A week ago, I was looking for chrysanthemum and rose buds for drinking and came across amaranth flower tea which I had never tried before. These flowers are so pretty. They were worth a try because they were just RM6/40g which is a lot cheaper than some other teas. According to the benefits on the packet, amaranth tea is good for reducing cough and minor migraine, relaxes mind, body and soul. I could combine them with rose buds.
A quick online search revealed that other health benefits include anti-aging, reducing hypertension and cholesterol levels besides boosting the body’s immune system. This is a very mild tea, definitely not as strong as jasmine or the Chinese teas we’re used to.
