An Introduction To ORIKS : BB Creams

ORIKS samples in one of the beauty boxes I have received recently was my first introduction to ORIKS, a Korean brand famous for their BB Cream launched in Korea and Taiwan in 2007. In September 2011, ORIKS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., the Sole Distributor in Malaysia, officially launched ORIKS at the KLCC Beauty Expo 2011. ORIKS’s 1st Counter in Malaysia was launched at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Level 4 on 15 June 2012.

I was on my way to tea at TWG when I was stopped in my tracks by the ORIKS beauty consultant who offered samples of their BB Cream. Since I had some time to kill, I stopped and asked a few questions about the brand. ORIKS offers 7 types of BB Cream including one for men! Not surprising since I have often seen men looking at compact powders and BB Creams at drugstores. Men want even skin tones too nowadays so why not come up with more options for men who want to look good.

Let’s check out the various BB Creams which range from RM108 to RM138, the most expensive being the Gemstone Nano Platinum BB Cream:-

• Wild Ginseng Stemcell Essence Twister BB Cream – enhanced with hyaluronic acid and natural ginseng serum. For all skin types. 
• Gemstone Nano Platinum BB Cream – high coverage and the BB Cream for darker skin tones. Enhanced with 7 minerals namely Pearl, Amethyst, Coral, Nephrite, Diamond, Amber and Ruby. For sensitive, dehydrated but oily skin.
• GOLD Nano Caviar BB Cream – lowest coverage, most nude look of the BB Creams. Infused with Nano Gold Skin Repair, Ginseng Extract, Euro Chestnut and Caviar Essential properties. For all skin types.
• Magic BB Cream – strongest coverage & 9 in 1 BB Cream. Contains Ginseng, Natto Gum and Burnet Root extracts. For dehydrated, normal to dry and mature skin.
• Natural Magic BB Cream – has anti-inflammatory properties for acne and sensitive skin. For uneven skin tone, blemish and acne skin.
• Homme BB Cream – specially formulated to target open pores, uneven skin tone, pigmentation, freckles, dryness, oiliness. For all skin types.
• Sun BB Cream SPF50+ – best sun protection as it is waterproof. For all skin types.
