Usher in the year of Earth Dog as Sungei Wang celebrates this auspicious Lunar New Year with the theme “Sungei Wang Garden of Wealth”. The celebration commences from 5 January to 22 February 2018.
Step into the year of 2018 as Sungei Wang transforms into a garden of wealth decked with shiny gold ornaments and decorations. At the Main Entrance, shoppers are greeted with a 10-foot tall God of Fortune wishing shoppers an abundance of wealth. The highlight of the decoration is the whopping 18-foot tall golden money tree erected on the stage showcasing the garden of wealth, fortune and prosperity. There is also a Golden Wishing Arch where shoppers who walk through it are expected to receive wealth, fortune and prosperity in the Year of the Dog. Dangling gold coins cascade from the top of the Centre Court to bring good fortune to shoppers.
The Golden Money Tree gives shoppers the opportunity to win a total of RM15,000 cash and prizes on weekends. The prizes include RM888 cash, smartphones, watches, gold jade pendants and many more. Sungei Wang’s Chinese New Year Market Hall is filled with a wide array of festive goodies ranging from cookies, hampers, decorations, accessories to Chinese traditional costumes. Participate in the Chinese Gold Ingot Paper Folding Competition on 21 January 2018 and Creative Yusheng Competition on 11 February 2018.
