Sime Darby Motors has officially launched its first Centralised Body & Paint Centre in Jalan Sungai Pinang, Penang as part of its commitment in providing top-notch service quality for customers under the Sime Darby Motors umbrella in the northern region.
Sime Darby Motors retails BMW, MINI, Motorrad, BYD, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford, and Hyundai vehicles, as well as quality pre-owned cars, through Sime Darby Auto Selection.
The RM3 million service centre, measuring approximately 20,000 sq ft, is furnished with the latest technology and equipment. It is equipped with four mechanical bays with hoist including one heavy-duty bays (body repairs), one dry-sanding bay, one preparation bay and one spray booth with the capacity to service and repair up to 80 units of vehicle per month, which require body repair works.
“With this new facility, workflow for repairs and restoration works will be streamlined for all Sime Darby Motors’ brands while ensuring performed services adhere to the brands’ discerning quality standards. The new workflow will also accelerate repairs and restoration works, thereby reducing downtime for our customers,” said Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong & Macau.
According to Jeffrey, the new Sime Darby Motors’ Centralised Body & Paint Centre is well equipped to provide a comprehensive range of services.
“Customers can be assured of good quality service for all their repair and restoration needs. Services will range from providing basic service repair work, accident repairs and paint work, to preparing the necessary documents needed for insurance claims.”
“We have well-trained specialists who will ensure that all repairs and maintenance are performed according to set guidelines from the principals of the various brands under our umbrella. Hence, our customers will be able to have peace of mind knowing that their vehicles are well cared for.” added Jeffrey.
Customers in the Northern region who would like repairs and paint restoration work done on their vehicle at the new centre will need to contact their respective service centres. Their cars will then be sent to Sime Darby Motors’ Centralised Body & Paint Centre by their respective After Sales Service team.
