Ouidad has the most comprehensive range of products for curly hair that I’ve ever seen. Apart from the shampoos and conditioners, there are the styling products for maintaining healthy looking curls. I wish I had access to Ouidad products back in the days or rather decade when I was sporting a perm.
The Botanical Boost® Moisture Infusing & Refreshing Spray is for detangling and refreshing curls. Since I don’t have curls and I don’t know anyone who has curls, I can only say that it instantly makes my hair softer and easier to comb.
This is a lightweight spray which goes on like a spritz of water (albeit with a bit of scent) and I just spray it 3 times. Those with shorter hair probably need just one or two sprays at most. In that respect, it’s economical since this 250ml bottle will last ages, up to a year by my reckoning.
It doesn’t contain oil or waxes so it won’t weigh hair down and it’s infused with aloe vera to promote hydration. It contains a blend of proteins and botanical extracts for preserving moisture, preventing frizz and enhancing shine which is important for curly hair. I know because back when I had permed hair, it was really difficult to tame the frizz and hair often looked dry and dull. Permed/curly hair needs a lot of maintenance and styling products so that it looks healthy.
