Over the past 2 months, there seem to be a number of Murad samples in beauty boxes so from someone who’d never tried any Murad products before, I can now say I have tried their cleanser and mask. Then there’s this Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer Dewy Finish in MIVVA’s March Know Your Skin Box.
This is an oil-free primer in a universal shade that balances oil production, disguises flaws, evens skin texture and minimizes the appearance of pores. It can be used under or in place of foundation. I use it under foundation since it seems to make my skin smoother and even my skin texture.
When I pumped out this creamy primer, my first thought was how brown it looked and whether it’d make my skin look darker. Well it would have if not blended properly and if too much is used.
It does add a bit of luminosity to my skin but what I liked about it is the texture as it isn’t too thick and the smoothness didn’t feel artificial like a whole load of silicone was sitting on top of my skin. Foundation absorbed better once I’d applied this primer.

Yah! Which is why they say it can be used in place of foundation.
