MAC Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadows are a hybrid offering two distinctive effects : applied wet for super saturation metallic brilliance or dry coverage with a soft, sparkling finish. Each palette has five complementary shades.At first glance, the palettes reminded me of Bobbi Brown Shimmerbricks but these have divisions between each shade.
Some of the powders are bigger than others. I could have done with bigger highlight shades (the lightest colour) since that would be the shade I would use the most but as you can see from all the palettes, the middle shade is the biggest. There’s no mirror or applicator/brush.
Some of the shades were more powdery than others and seemed crumbly when touched with fingers. It’s best to use an eyeshadow primer before applying these. They do appear quite creamy and soft. My favourite of the five palettes available is Brownluxe as the gold is eye-catching. I would have liked to have liked Greenluxe but the shades in there don’t appear to be true greens. Brownluxe seems like the most wearable day to night palette.
Each palette retails at RM155/5.6g.
brownluxe is really eye catching. I like the pasteluxe too.
