It’s a nice change to have a white background on a MAC lipstick instead of their standard black. Having Betty’s image on the Betty Bright lipstick is a bonus if you are an Archie Comics fan. Of course, having special packaging means the price is more than MAC lipsticks in their standard packaging. It always is and one has to decide whether it’s worth it to pay the extra few Ringgit for the limited edition product.
Betty Bright sold out quite quickly on MAC’s official website. This is a satin lipstick and feels very creamy. It looks like a coral peach in the tube but when you look at the images of my lips below, you’d think it was pinky. It’s not really my kind of shade and I thought it emphasised and accentuated the lines on my lips when used on its own. I added Sublime Shine Dazzleglass Creme over it and I think it looks nicer and more polished with lipgloss over it.
It’s quite long-lasting, won’t fade if I don’t drink or eat. If you want a lip shade that will brighten up your complexion without adding other forms of make-up, then Betty Bright will probably do it as it’s so vibrant yet not loud.
