If You Like Essential Oils, You’ll Love Lipidol

You might have noticed a new brand in Guardian outlets called Lipidol. The products were launched very recently and the packaging looks very basic and no-frills. Thy are not contained in boxes and each product is sealed in plastic. In fact, they are so unobtrusive that I had to ask one of the Guardian staff where they were as I had walked right past them!

Basically, Lipidol offers 6 products and each one contains essential oils which make each one an added pleasure to use:-

Cleansing Face Oil 125ml RM24.90

Removes dirt and make-up without stripping the skin’s natural oily layer. Rosemary and Niaouli essential oils fragrance.

Cleansing Body Oil 200ml RM24.90

Washes off dirt without stripping the skin’s natural oily layer. Lime essential oil fragrance. I have been using this for the past few days. It is exactly like facial cleansing oil except skin has to be damp before applying the Cleansing Body Oil. Love the scent as it’s so citrusy. Skin feels hydrated and very soft after it’s been rinsed off.

After Shower Oil 175ml RM24.90

Supplements the skin’s natural oily layer stripped away by daily washing. Chamomile essential oil fragrance. From the empty slots on the display, I can see that this one is selling better than the others. I guess many people are looking for alternatives to body moisturisers in the form of lotions and creams?

Sunscreen Oil SPF20 125ml RM24.90

Supplements the skin’s natural oily layer stripped away by sun, wind and water. Cypress and Basil essential oils fragrance.

P1280624(1)

After Shave Oil 100ml RM24.90

Supplements the skin’s natural oily layer stripped away by shaving. Petitgrain essential oil fragrance.

P1280623(1)

Overnight Face Oil 50ml RM24.90

Supplements the skin’s natural oily layer stripped away by daily exposure to the elements. Ylang-Ylang and Black Pepper essential oils fragrance. This is the one I am most curious about so I bought it this morning. I will let you know if I like it or not soon. Prices are surprisingly affordable, don’t you think? These may be flying off the shelves when more people come to know about them!

  1. Agree with Devika that all the products are affordable! I wonder about the face oil too as I am a fan of face oil! They work wonders even on combination skin like mine =)

  2. Almost ALL of their oils, except for the cleansing body oil, contain paraffin as their first ingredient. Paraffin on my face? Seriously? I am not ready to turn myself into a wax figure yet!
