Interview With Dato’ Raymond Ho, Group CEO & MD Of Sri Ternak Group (ST Rosyam Mart) At Pinnacle Of Success Business Award 2025

The Pinnacle Legacy Business of the Year Award paid tribute to corporations whose presence has left an indelible mark on industries and communities. One of the esteemed recipients of the award was ST Rosyam Mart. I sat down with Daro’ Raymond to chat about Sri Ternak Group and ST Rosyam Mart.

Please tell us about Sri Ternak Group,

Sri Ternak was started in 1979 as a family business. We were in the poultry business, from slaughterhouse to supplying poultry to F&B in Genting Highlands, Hilton Group and Star Cruise, In 1997, we almost bellied up, sold our businesses and paid off multi-million debts. We started all over again as a small frozen meat supplier. our team was not even 10 pax and our daily sales did not even reach RM100. Now our employees are 3000 pax and we have a wholesale retail supermarket which runs 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Please tell us more about ST Rosyam Mart.

The purpose of running this operation model is to bring more value and convenience to everyone. It is a wholesale and retail model in a 5-star environment, selling at retail prices. We collaborated with actor, Datuk Rosyam Nor since 2018. The response to ST Rosyam Mart has been really good as the more you buy, the more you save. We now have outlets in Selayang, Sri Kembangan, Shah Alam, Subang, Kepong, Sg. Buloh, Senawang, Semenyih and Klang. Our 1st outlet was in Setiawangsa.

We also have 3 Ehsan Mart outlets, we work together with the Selangor State Government to offer subsidised products. We also have Rosyam Mall in Klang where the tenants are well known.

What is unique about ST Rosyam Mart?

We have a unique selling point in that we operate 24/7 in a comfortable environment. It’s a very strong brand and Datuk Rosyam is a shareholder. We invite celebrities, do sampling events. Our purpose is to modernise the supermarket industry. We want to become an icon in the industry. We want our customers to save time and money and to live better. We supply fresh, frozen and dry goods of which some are imported. We achieved RM1.4 billion in sales throughout 9 outlets and hope to achieve RM2.2 billion.

Any plans for expansion?

We hope to expand ST Rosyam Marts to bring more convenience to people and create more value. F&B operators are buying at wholesale prices and we provide 21 essential services such as free power bank service, free buggy service and free big umbrella service, free ice pack, free cutting services, tyre service (pump air), car battery jump service. We also have an online order and drive thru 24/7.

What does receiving this Pinnacla award mean to you and Sri Ternak Group?

We are very honoured, it is a big motivation to us to work harder. Being No. 1 is not easy. We thank the organiser of Pinnacle, my family members, suppliers and customers for their trust and support.
