All the way from India came a sample sachet of Forest Essentials Soundarya Ultra Rich Body Lotion (thanks my Indian beauty courier Devika!) with 24 Karat Gold & SPF 25. Forest Essentials is an Indian beauty brand founded in 2000 based on Ayurvedic principles so all the products are based on a holistic approach.

Forest Essentials uses exotic herbs and plants in their formulations. The name Forest Essentials comes from the fact that all their ingredients are sourced from plants, trees and herbs naturally grown in their forests. Their spring water is sourced from the heart of a forest.

Soundarya Ultra Rich Body Lotion contains sweet almond oil, wheat germ oil, shea butter, glycerin, ashwagandha root, bala root, vetiver, aloe-vera, beeswax, cardamom seed, sweet fennel, basil, turmeric, saffron, sandalwood, 24K gold bhasma. All these natural ingredients give the lotion a very exotic scent, nothing like anything I have ever come across. The scent will transport you to the spice markets of India.

It’s a light lotion, very hydrating of course and after using the sample, I wish I had a full size bottle.
