BookXcess Opens 13th Outlet At MyTOWN Shopping Centre & It’s HUGE

dsc_9990During the pre-pandemic weekends, I’d spend time at BookXcess @ Amcorp Mall & over the past few years, I have bought a number of books from there. I like browsing at their Asian authors section and some of my favourite authors include Amy Tan & Lisa See. I was invited for a walk-through experience at BookXcess’ latest outlet @ MyTOWN Shopping Centre yesterday morning.

When I entered the bookstore, I was impressed with the size of the bookstore, there were books everywhere and so many shelves. It was at least a minute walk through the store. There are plenty of seats so avid readers can relax and take a few books to decide which one to take home. There are two f&b outlets, Whisk Cafe and Ume Tei, the latter used to be located at Amcorp Mall.

To be exact, this latest BookXcess is 31,200 sq. ft. and has up to a staggering 170,000 books so whether you prefer fiction or non-fiction, there’s definitely a book there that will catch your attention/interest. There’s a vast children’s section and a bathtub filled with books in water, waterproof children’s books so kids can be entertained during bath time.

For those of you who prefer posters, there are many to choose from, all ready to be hung in your residence/office. There’s a co-working space with a view of the street outside. This is the largest BookXcess I have visited but I understand it isn’t the largest BookXcess outlet as that is located in Tamarind Square, Cyberjaya.

BookXcess MyTOWN is located on Level 1 next to Uniqlo. Check it out and you will be surprised as this is a bookstore like no other. The ambiance is relaxing and you can definitely social distance safely here as the space is so vast.
