Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation

Foundation is tricky, you want to get it right but not everyone succeeds all the time. We have to try and try again before we find the perfect one. Ideally, you want one that doesn’t look cakey, doesn’t appear streaky when you apply, looks completely natural like your second skin and lasts all day even in extreme humidity.

If there’s one product I like from Bobbi Brown (other than the Shimmer Bricks, I admit to being a Shimmer Brick fiend even if I don’t use them every day), it’s their foundations as Bobbi does liquid and compact foundations so well. Her Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation comes in 17 shades, Malaysia has all the shades except for the lightest 00 Alabaster because who is that fair here?

This compact foundation comes with an application sponge tucked neatly under the foundation. It’s a very good quality sponge and I do use it every time I apply this foundation but you could choose to use a buffing brush, whatever works best for you. The shade that works for me is Sand.

I get medium coverage with this foundation, it applies smoothly without caking or making me look as if there is a layer of foundation on. It is very creamy without being  thick and really does last all day without oxidizing on me. Great for oil-control as I didn’t feel the need for touch-ups any time during the day.

It’s a practical foundation for anyone who likes to bring a compact with them when they are out just in case they need to touch-up. I like the feeling of weightlessness with this foundation. It just feels so natural and easy to apply. This is one of the best compact foundations I’ve ever used as it even feels hydrating.
